Quilt Market and Festival 2019

Here I am in my booth, ready for the crowds. As you can see, my focus was the Braided Twist. Notice the new placemats hanging from the front rod.

I met Laura many years ago when we were both teaching at an embroidery conference. It was great to see her again!
Her expertise is creating computerized embroidery designs. She and her husband operate Laura's Sewing Studio.

Here's a photo of me with new friends, Jill and Julie Lorimer. Julie won first place in a big national contest in Australia with a truly innovative art quilt. Her prize was an all expense paid trip to the Houston Quilt Festival. Her mom, Jill, was her guest and is the owner of The Quilting Shed in Australia. We had such a nice time getting to know one another!

Barb Morgan is an amazing quilter and dedicated to the art of quilting. If she's not making quilts, she's teaching or volunteering at her quilt guild in Durango, Colorado. She's helped me with quilt samples for several of my books. What a great friend!

Here is another mother daughter duo with this amazing Aquaman quilt that hung in a display at Market and Festival. Katalin and Luca are from Romania now living in the UK. They were also in the booth next to us. We were so fortunate to get to visit with this talented lady and her sweet daughter.

Loved seeing Norma Reel
She teaches the Stargello in College Station Texas and soon the Braided Twist!
So much fun!!
