Some of the template pages included in some early patterns have a Gem Five tool that is printed too large. The height of the Five tool should be 5 inches. If not you have an incorrect template. Gem Five paper template for the correct one. I hope this hasn't caused anyone too many problems.

The tool in the Butterfly in the Round pattern is a 12 Degree Wedge made of 1/8" acrylic. A 12 Degree requires 30 wedges to make a circle.
How is the 12 Degree Wedge different from the 10 Degree Mini Wedge?
A ten degree mini wedge requires 36 wedges to make a circle whereas a 12 degree requires 30 wedges to make a circle. The ten degree mini creates a center opening of 5" and the 12 degree creates a center opening of 2".
